◆正中（せいちゅう）

- Literal：Seichuu (the center line).
- Interpretation：A road of the god.
- 参道や社殿の中央を「正中（せいちゅう）」と言います。正中は神様の通り道とされています。古来、人々は、参道の真ん中を歩かないように心がけています。
The center of an approach to Shrine and a main hall of the shrine is called "Seichuu". Seichuu is said to be the god's road. People don't walk in the middle of the approach to Shrine traditionally.
正中は、神社の入り口（鳥居）から本殿まで続いています。神職など祭礼に携わる関係者は、できるだけ正中を避けて歩行したり、祭式を執り行います。
Seichuu leads to from an entrance of the shrine (torii) to a main shrine. The person concerned who participates in a galay avoids Seichuu as much as possible, and walks Shinto priesthood, and rites are held.
正中の幅は普通、2尺（60㎝）程度ですが、参道や神社の幅が狭いときは、この限りではありません。
The width of Seichuu is usually the 2Shaku (60 cm) degree, but the narrow occasion of the approach to Shrine and the shrine isn't this limit.
祝詞奏上・玉串拝礼などのときは、正中（祭場）の中央において奉仕します。
