- 解釈：やりかけた事を途中で止めては何にもならないという戒め。中国の孟子（もうし）が修学の途中で家に帰ったとき、孟子の母は織りかけた機（はた）の布を切って厳しく諌め、師の許に帰らせたという故事から。
- Literal：The warning which cut off the woven cloth.
- Interpretation：If it stops having done on the way, nothing becomes.
