- Literal：Good behavior is 1 "sun" (unit of length), and the wrongdoing is 1 "shaku" (unit of length).
- Interpretation：A world has more wrong than the good. It is interfered with the good by wrong.
- 類義：一寸の善には、一尺の魔が伴う。好事（こうじ）魔多し。月に叢雲（むらぐも）、花に風。
