- 解釈：僅かな事に驚き恐れることのたとえ。中国東晋（とうしん）との肥（三水＋肥）水（ひすい）の戦いに敗れた前秦（ぜんしん）の苻堅（ふけん）の兵が、風の音や鶴の鳴き声を敵軍の襲来と思い違えて逃亡したという故事による。
- Literal：It is the sound of a wind, and a cry of a crane.
- Interpretation：He is surprised at few things and it is afraid.
- 類義：水鳥（みずとり）の羽音（はおと）に驚く。
