- 解釈：慈悲深い仏でも、その顔を三度撫でれば腹を立てる。如何に温和な人でも、度重なる無礼には我慢ができないことをいう。

- Interpretation：Try the patience of a saint. There are limits to your endurance. Tread on a worm and it will turn.
- 類義：兎も七日なぶれば、噛み付く。地蔵の顔も三度。猫の顔も三度。仏の顔も日に三度。
