- 解釈：一寸会っただけの人の顔をよく覚えていること。中国後漢の応奉（おうほう）が人を訪問して、扉の間から顔を半分出した人をちらりと見ただけなのに、数十年後道で会ったときにその人を覚えていたという故事による。
- Literal：Knowledge of a half face.
- Interpretation：It is remembering well the face of only the person who met just for a moment.
