◇地球を創った女神は、籠に卵が三つ残っているのに気がついた。 Though three eggs were left, the goddess who created the earth noticed a basket. 二つはオウムとカラスの卵。 Two are egg of a parrot and a crow. 残りの一つは何だか分からなかったので、確かめることにした。 The goddess didn't know what remaining one was, so she decided to make sure. そこで女神が「生まれなさい」と命じると、「どうして生まれたのだろう？ 望まれて生まれてきたのだろうか」と喋りながら、二本足のコシャリが生まれた。 So a goddess ordered "Be born." The antic of two legs was born while talking "Why would I be born? Are I wished for and have I been born?" 女神は赤ん坊に向かって「きっと世の役に立つ人になる」と言ってやったが、コシャリはとっても変わっていた。 The goddess said to the baby. "It'll be the person to whom a world is useful surely." But The antic was very different. 落ち着きがなく、ふざけたことばかり言い、逆さに歩いたりする。 There is no poise for him. He says that he played. He walks reversely. 女神はもてあまして、コシャリを村のメディスン・マンのカシの木男に預けることにした。 The goddess found unmanageable, and decided to leave the antic in "the man of the oak" in the Medicine man in a village. 生まれたばかりだというのにコシャリは「僕、何でもするよ。何でもできるよ。きっと立派に役に立つ」と、さっそくカシの木男を探しに出かけた。 The antic where he has been just born said. "I do everything. Everything will be done. It's useful wonderfully surely." Right away, he has gone out to look for "the man of the oak". 静粛が決まりとされるカシの木男の聖壇で大騒ぎしていたコシャリを長老が見とがめ、「メディスン・マンに会える人は限られている」と追い返そうとした。 People have to do quietly at St. platform of "the man of the oak". The elder questioned The antic which was roughhousing. And the elder tried to send away. "The person who can meet in the Medicine man is limited." けれど「僕は女神のお使いだ。メディスン・マンのキバはどこ？」とコシャリは引き下がらない。 So the antic doesn't withdraw. "For me, the goddess's, she uses it. Where are the Medicine man's meeting space?" 長老は結局、「何かの役に立つこともあるのだろう」とコシャリを行かせることにした。 In the long run the elder decided to make them go on the antic. "You'll be useful for something." 許しが無ければ入ることができないキバを覗き込んで、「いま行くよ！」と叫んだコシャリは、返事も待たずに梯子を下った。 When there is no leave, people can't enter a meeting space. The antic looked stealthily at a meeting space. He cried. "I go now!" without also waiting for an answer, he went down a ladder. そしてカシの木男を見つけるや、「仲間になるよ。何でも手伝うよ」と休む間もなく働き始めた。 And the antic found "the man of the oak". "I join. I help with everything." He has begun to work having no time to rest. カシの木男は、コシャリの好きなようにさせることにした。 "The man of the oak" decided to make them decide to like the antic. コシャリのおかしな話や振る舞いが、聖域で退屈していたカシの木男には楽しかったのだ。 ‐ アコマ族の伝説 The fact that the antic is strange and behavior were fun in "The man of the oak" tedious at a sacred precinct. ‐ Legend of Acoma |
